About Emerald Ash Borer:The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Agrilus planipennis is a non-native pest originating from Asia that has been infecting and killing millions of trees in the ash family (Fraxinus spp.) It was first discovered in 2002 in Southeastern Michigan.
Emerald Ash Borer infestation was first discovered in Radford and surrounding counties in 2016. Radford University Biology students are currently collecting data to better understand the reach the Emerald Ash Borer has had on Wildwood Park. |
